NEXTEC CORP — ABOUT

A systems integrator. Not a vendor that visits. A partner that stays.

Nextec is a Tanzanian technology systems integrator — cybersecurity, software engineering, AI and automation, and cloud infrastructure, delivered by one resident engineering team and extended through a disciplined partner ecosystem where an engagement needs capability beyond our own scope.

Why Nextec exists

Technology that stays accountable to where it runs

Nextec is designed around a specific gap in how technology reaches institutions here: specified elsewhere, delivered by a team that leaves, and handed to whoever remains once the contract closes. We hold the same legal, technical and operational accountability for a system as the institution running it — before, during and after handover, not just up to go-live.

We are a Tanzanian company operating under Tanzanian law, engineering for the conditions systems actually run in here: the power, the connectivity, the regulation and the people who inherit what we build.

Where an engagement needs specialist capability beyond our own operating scope, we assemble it through named strategic relationships rather than claim to hold it in-house. That distinction matters enough that we publish it — see how we operate, and what we can structure into an engagement, further down this page.

Operating model

One engineering team. A disciplined partner ecosystem.

Nextec is increasingly a technology systems integrator: software, cybersecurity, AI and automation, and infrastructure held inside one resident team — with specialist capability assembled deliberately, and named honestly, where a project's scope genuinely exceeds ours.

01 — What we hold

Resident engineering capability

These four disciplines are delivered by the same engineers on every engagement. No handoff between vendors, and no gap in the middle where accountability disappears.

  • Cybersecurity & Data Protection
  • Software Engineering & Business Systems
  • AI & Automation
  • Cloud, Infrastructure & Managed IT
02 — What we assemble

A disciplined partner ecosystem

For work that sits outside our engineering scope — specialist security systems, unmanned systems, aviation and transport software, multi-agency data platforms — we structure the appropriate delivery ecosystem around the engagement rather than represent capability we don't hold as our own. Every one of these is published below.

How we hold ourselves to it

Working principles, not a poster

Seven values, each written as something you can actually test against how an engagement is run.

01
Integrity
We say what a system is, what it isn't, and what stage it's at — in front of a client and in what we publish about ourselves.
02
Innovation
Applied to a defined operational problem against a measured baseline, not adopted because it is new.
03
Security
Designed into the architecture at the first drawing, not retrofitted after go-live.
04
Excellence
Judged by what still runs correctly a year after we've left the room, not by the delivery date.
05
Collaboration
Your team sits inside the process — reviewing increments, present at handover — not briefed once at the end.
06
Accountability
The company that designed the system is registered and reachable in the same jurisdiction as your legal department.
07
Continuous learning
Regulation, infrastructure and the threat landscape all move. The team studying them has to move with them.
How we operate

The same nine stages, on every engagement

Findings before proposals; architecture before code; a documented handover before we step back — whether the engagement runs six weeks or three years.

  1. 01

    Understand

    • Discover

We map what exists — the systems, the people who run them, the constraints nobody wrote down.

    • Assess

Technical, operational and regulatory position, written up plainly. Findings before proposals.

A written assessment you can act on, with or without us.

  2. 02

    Build

    • Design

A documented architecture: what gets built, what it integrates with, where the data lives, what it costs to run.

    • Build

Delivered in reviewable increments against the signed design. Your team is in the process, not briefed at the end.

    • Secure

Access control, data protection and monitoring designed in at this stage — not retrofitted after go-live.

A signed architecture, then working software delivered against it.

  3. 03

    Run

    • Deploy

Controlled release into the real environment, with the rollback path agreed before it is needed.

    • Train

Your team is taught the system by the people who built it. Handover is a documented event, not an email.

    • Support & Improve

We operate it, or we support the team that does — and we say which of those we are doing before we start.

A system in production, and people who can run it.

Specialist systems

What we can structure into an engagement

Alongside the four disciplines above, Nextec can extend an engagement into a set of specialist systems — coordinating internal engineering, strategic partners, or both, according to what a given requirement calls for.

  • Critical Infrastructure Systems

Extending our security and infrastructure practice toward monitoring, resilience and integrity systems for operators of infrastructure that cannot be allowed to fail.

  • Physical & Electronic Security Systems

Integrated access control, video surveillance, alarm and security-management systems, connected to the surrounding network and cybersecurity posture rather than left to run in isolation. Nextec architects, integrates and deploys the technology layer, and coordinates specialist security expertise where an engagement’s physical-protection requirements sit outside our own scope.

  • Unmanned Systems

Ground software, data handling and fleet-management systems for aerial survey and monitoring, which Nextec can deliver together with operating partners holding TCAA-regulated flight certification.

  • Aviation & Transport Systems

Operational, scheduling and logistics software for aviation and transport operators working the East African corridor.

  • Multi-Agency Data Platforms

Secure, permissioned data-sharing architecture that lets separate institutions contribute to and draw from a common analytical picture without surrendering control of their own records.

Where we're based, and under whose law

Tanzania is not a market we serve remotely

  • Incorporated and based here

Nextec Corp Limited is incorporated in Tanzania and operates from Dar es Salaam. Statutory filings and our public operating address are kept as two accurate, separate records.

  • Governed by the people doing the work

Decisions on an engagement — architecture, access, escalation — sit with the engineers and leadership accountable for it, not with a division on another continent.

  • Reachable after the contract ends

One monitored inbox, one number, one public office — Haile Selassie Road, Masaki, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. If something breaks after handover, it reaches the people who built it.
